GC4LZP attended the 2011 RNLI Lifeboat day in Barmouth. Above: Max - Chris - John showing that MARS has continued its fundraising efforts for this most worthy of causes throughout the year culminating in the main event SOS Radio Week in January. The day started showery and ended with fantastic sunshine. Plenty of public attended the event which had both the lifeboats on display. GC4LZP made many contacts across the UK and Europe with a long pile up session on 40 meters. Many thanks to all the operators who visited MARS on the day.

Meirion Raynet Group News
Meirion Raynet Group was on Duties during the Whitehaven leg of the Three Peaks Yacht Race. MRG was on duty 24 hours a day over a three day period. All operators have arrived home safely, although utterly exhausted. The team proved vital during this leg as there was a couple of casualties, and was dealt with professionally. Many local amateurs came to visit the team and made positive comments about what they had seen and heard. MORE:
