A big thankyou to everyone who came along to see us over the SOS weekend and to all the hundreds of radio amateurs we made contact with. Your help has enabled us to raise funds for the Barmouth RNLI.
Our total for this year was £520!
Well done to everyone who took part in this fantastic event we are already looking forward to next year. Our reciept has been sent to Derek for it to be officially added to the SOS week total.
Jim Salmon 2W/E0RMI. One of our members, Jim 2W0RMI ( when he is in Wales ) has published another new website. Jim is a prolific website publisher with many great sites to his name. The latest is at MT2radio celebrating the early years of broadcast radio. With the 90th anniversary of the Dame Nellie Melba broadcast due in June, Jim has made his own small tribute with a new website that gives an insight into the early years of radio broadcasting. The site includes documentaries to listen to or download, YouTube videos, a 'radio tuner' page and features 'Chelmsford Calling' which is a Webradio service playing easy listening and vintage music. Visit Jim's new website and take a trip back to the early days of radio.
