Meirion Raynet Group AGM -
Wedesday June 1st @ Dyffryn Ardudwy Village Hall @ 2100 hours. MORE:

At the 2011 AGM of Meirion Amateur Radio Society (MARS), it was agreed by the membership of both groups, that a closer association would be better for both MARS and Meirion Raynet group. So the agreement was formed and both groups now share each others projects and equipment, but retain their own independence and separate memberships. Meirion Raynet group was formed in May 2009, initially to provide Raynet backing for our involvement in the 3 Peaks Yacht Race, providing communications from Whitehaven to Scafell Pike in the Lake District. But events soon overtook our expectations and now Meirion Raynet Group is a fully operational emergency network provider, registered with the Gwynedd County Emergency Planning Unit. New members are welcome to join, and our AGM is held in May each year. There are special membership deals for active members of our group and everyone is encouraged to take part in our events.
